The Kidvelo Rookie 12 has scooped TWO top prizes at the prestigious Loved By Parents Awards, including the coveted Platinum Best Buy Award.
When a product has won a Loved by Parents award you know it has been tested and voted for by parents and the ultimate score of credibility.
Kidvelo set out to manufacture high-specification kids’ bikes, and deliver them at affordable price points. Launched in November 2021, the brand is already attracting 5-star reviews from customers and industry peers. The Rookie 12 is the lightest balance bike that has air-filled tyres. Weighing just 2.89 Kg, this bike is featherlight and thanks to a low step-over frame it is suitable for the tiniest of riders. A top-spec alloy frame designed to accommodate children from 18-months adjusts to provide the best riding experience as the child grows. The extended wheelbase lowers the centre of gravity, making the bike easier to ride, and children will find the bike maintains the correct geometry as they grow.

In March, Kidvelo also got a business boost from Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis and his #SBS Small Business Sunday Initiative which saw Kidvelo gain the support of Theo and promotion across his network.
Karen Wood, Director of Kidvelo has also been made a finalist in the Woman Who Start-Up Awards, with the winner to be announced on the 1st July.
